Dear AMICO Users and Uses Committee:

Unfortunately, Jim Bower has withdrawn the session that the GII was sponsoring at CAA - and which AMICO would have appeared in - so, we won't be on the program at the meeting. Given that the GII is being reorganised, and won't continue to exist as an entity, I can see the logic behind this decision.

However, we DO need to think about ways that we can engage the academic user community and learn from them about their needs and expectations. A User Focus Group, that involved both CAA and VRA attendees was suggested at our meeting in LA.

Who's interested in helping to scope this?
