Dear AMICO User Committee:

We've planned to hold Focus Group studies at both CAA and VRA in Febrary to learn more about needs and expectations regarding the AMICO Library. It's time to make our plans more concrete. We need to consider the issues we'd like to probe and the questions we'd like to ask.

* Who is going to be at CAA/VRA?

* Who is willing to help with organizing and holding the Focus groups?

* What do youwant to know about users of the AMICO Library?

* What questions would you like to ask them?

 As a starting point, I'd like to refer you to the MESL Faculty Evaluation Form, available at

<http://images.grainger.uiuc.edu/mesl/evalwg/activities.html>

and the summary of the focus groups (total of 12 participants) conducted during the Berkely study of "the Cost of Digital Image Distribution" available at :

<http://www.sims.berkeley.edu/research/mellon/finalreport/6-focus.html>

I'd like ot plan a follow-up meeting of the Users and Uses Committee prior to the AAM meeting in Cleveland. CMA has agreed to offer us space, but we need to firm up our request soon. We would use this opportunity to analyse the results of the focus groups. Who's going to be at AAM?

Thanks for helping me answer all of these questions!

jennifer
