In the straw poll, Steve Dietz asked "which common standards".

These are not yet defined, but it is clear that universities will: 1) need to know them in advance of each distribution 2) want them to remain relatively stable over time 3) want to have input into them, especially conformance with evolving metadata standards

   We think this is a reasonable license term, and realize it will be a major contribution of the consortium to have these standards for interchange in place. It is assumed that GII, CIMI and other relevant bodies will be involved in helping AMICO here. David
