4.1 This is the section that is a concern to many librarians.  One year 
is just too short a term for the license.  Pat Wand and I discussed this 
briefly at CNI.  Would it be possible to allow a two-year contract?  
Doing so would give more flexibility to faculty as they adapt to changes 
in curricula.  Curriculum development is such a long, drawn-out process. 
 What about the possibility of a two-year contract, renewable each year 
(ie always covering the next two year period).  I think David B. brought 
this up at the December MESL meeting.  Its a great idea.
