I was just on the RLG testbed database and saw that the copyright notice just below the thumbnail image says something like "licensed for noncommercial, educational use. Do you want to view commercial rights information?" Is it possible to tighten up this language, being that everyone--especially in a university setting--feels that their project (from a big-publisher text book, to a university fundraising brochure) is educational? Maybe something like "licensed for noncommercial, educational use as defined by your university's agreement with AMICO? or "licensed for commercial, educational use in conjunction with the AMICO project?" Just a thought. Thanks for putting together the excellent Summary of License Terms table. It is really helpful. Jennifer Small Registrar's Office SFMOMA |
