ABSTRACT

"Developing Museum Information Policies"

This workshop will provide a step-by-step approach for museums considering developing, reviewing or revising electronic information policies. In today's information-rich electronic environment, it is increasingly important that every museum and cultural organization develop and disseminate policies governing the creation, use and exchange of electronic information. Emphasis will be placed on the roles and responsibilities of users and providers of information in the museum community. Possible topics for lecture and discussion include access to information, network use, electronic mail, coordinating museum resources, and due process issues.

Hope to see you in New Orleans,

Best,

jennifer and David
