Dear AMICO's,

I received the following today from Ken... it looks like the consensus is that we should open up a thread on this discussion topic on the university testbed web site. You can follow it via /HyperNews/get/testbed/gen.html I'll make it clear that these are suggstions only, no commitments, and we'll see how it goes. We'll also explore other ways of gaining and filtering content requests, that don't necessarily commit AMICO members to futher tasks. These will include specific questions about this at the planned focus groups for CAA/VRA in February.

Thanks everyone - and all the best for the holidays!

-------- message from Ken Hamma -------- Yep, I think we have a lot to learn and am not against doing that. I guess I thought - and still think - that this might be done in a way that doesn't commit member museums to further work at this point nor raise expectations among consumers. This could be a topic for the focus groups and other means of evaluation and plain response from users of the library... 'I wanna have more impressionist paintings!' A discussion thread on this might be good especially if it looks like there is going to be a lot of it. How that gets turned into direction for future buildilng of the library should be a separate topic for discussion.
