Dear AMICOs,

We had a very productive full day of meetings yesterday with senior staff of the financial, technical and user services programs of RLG. They confirmed their strong interest in working with us on the university testbed project, and shared our excitement about the significance of the AMICO collaboration.

RLG will send us a preliminary business proposal early in November. We'll bring it to the Executive Committee for discussion and ratification.

In the interim, because our ramp-up time is so short, we've invited RLG to name representatives to participate in the Technical Operations and Users Committee online discussions. This will help them understand our expectations and ensure open communications. Expect these discussions to start the end of this week, when David and I are back in our office in Pittsburgh.

We're heading now for the Getty Information Institute, and will brief you tomorrow on the outcome of our conversations there.

Thank you all for two very productive meetings in St. Louis. As we saw from the level of excitement and interest by MCN members we're tackling a very timely and critical problem for the museum community.

Keep up the good work!
