My initial reaction before fully exploring the RLG ARCHES demo at

is that it is not built with "cross-platform" in mind.

ARCHES says to the user:

"To effectively use these demonstration pages you need:

1.Netscape Navigator 3 or 4 for Windows95 or WindowsNT 2.Imaging for Windows installed as a Navigator helper application for viewing TIFF files."

Since many of us, and also many Universities, are Mac-based, we would want the AMICO library to support at least MacOS, the Windows flavors and UNIX.
