Here are answers to two questions about the RLG AMICO testbed interface that were asked at last week's AMICO meeting at MCN:

1. For the various sort options for the brief display (by creator, title, or owner), what sub-elements are used to further organize the display? For instance, if one has chosen to sort the display by creator and there are several works by one creator in the result, how are the works by that creator ordered?

No attempt is made in the current AMICO Testbed system to subarrange works that have the same sort element. Later this fall, as part of a change to the database infrastructure for the Testbed, sorting will improve: works sorted by creator will be subarranged by title, works sorted by title will be subarranged by date, and works sorted by owner will be subarranged by creator and title.

2. After a number of items have been added to the notebook, can the user download the images, their associated image metadata and descriptive data en masse, or must each be downloaded individually?

Each item in the notebook must be downloaded individually.

We welcome further questions and suggestions. Please feel free to post messages at the AMICO discussions website or use the "Comments" button when you're using the testbed.
