Dear AMICOs, I'm forwarding a note from Arnold Arcolio at RLG, outlining the first round of changes they've made to the AMICO Library interface. You may have noticed some changes, that take into account suggestions and comments made by AMICO Members. Please, spend some time with the RLG delivery of the Library, available from http://eureka.rlg.org/amico with your username/password [or IP address authentication]. Use the Comments facility to send us feedback. Thanks. jt
Jennifer,
A few more details about changes that were made in the preview system last night:
- object rights statement and credit line appear on the Brief display - creators rather than titles are emphasized on the Brief display - in the help area, there's a reminder of the sort order together with the count of items in the result - there is a chance to save items to the Notebook from the Full display - text (including ORS and XRS) appears below Inspection and Presentation images, in two columns - the first screen is briefer, provides a direct link to a list of contributors, and to a discussion of the provisional nature of the testbed - in addition, we acted on suggestions from Alan Newman and Greg Tschann to provide an alphabet of links to any part of a headings display and to add Keyword to the advanced search screen even before we provide boolean combinations
Among the things still to do:
- combine object and image metadata for downloading - display creator dates and creator qualifier if they're not in CRT - simplify display and complicate indexing of AID and Accession Number
