RLG News about Access to the AMICO Library
Base: General Announcements

From: Ricky Erway, RLG <bl.rle@rlg.org>
Dear AMICO Testbed users,

RLG is upgrading the infrastructure and improving the
interface of the AMICO Testbed system. For the next few weeks,
when you sign on, you will have an opportunity to select the
new system or default to the current testbed system.

There shouldn't be many differences from the user point of
view; those you will see include:

--all of the updates received to date (records and images)
have been made to the new database (the database you have been
using is current on deletions, but not other updates)
--full records open in separate windows (so you can have more
than one open for comparisons)
--the notebook feature now allows saving multiple notebooks
that persist after you end your session

We encourage you to use the new system and hope you like it.
Please use the "?" comments link at the upper right in the
interface to report any problems, suggestions, or questions
pertaining to the interface, as well as data-related issues.
In a few weeks, when we're confident that there will be no
unanticipated problems, we'll phase out access to the old
system.

 Ricky and the RLG team
