Dear University Testbed Participants, The text of the Agreement to Use the AMICO Library is now available at http://www.members.amico.org/univ_testbed/univ.final2.shtml [user:testbed password:groundzero] Please download a copy of this text [as PostScript or PDF] for signature. Signed copies should be returned to:
AMICO 5501 Walnut St, #203 Pittsburgh, PA 15232 We've been working to make the AMICO University Agreement as straightforward and easy to understand as possible, and to make the terms as agreeable to university users as possible. As a result, it's taken us a bit longer than we had hoped to have the final text available to you. Ideally, we would like to have the signed Agreement back prior to the release of the Preview of the Library on July 6 1998. If this isn't going to be possible, please let us know, and we'll work out a way to ensure your access while the document goes through a formal signing process. One of our goals in the University Testbed is to learn more about the approval process for this type of agreement, and to gain your input regarding possible revisions of to its language. We want to make future versions as straight-forward as possible. Please post any questions or comments to the Licensing and Rights Discussion, on the University Testbed Web site: http://www.members.amico.org/univ_testbed/ This Agreement is the second half of the paperwork surrounding your use of the AMICO Library in the University Testbed. You should also have received the RLG Service Agreement, that governs the terms of their delivery of the Library, by now. It was mailed to one person at your institution, so project coordinators should have this in hand. Thanks very much for your understanding in signing and returning these documents as soon as possible. Best, jennifer and David |
