In response to Jennifer Trant and David Bearman's e-mail of August 4 regarding user statistics, the following areas are of interest to Western Michigan University Library:

1.  user status - faculty, student, or staff
     - if student - graduate or undergraduate

2.  how many time advanced searches used, how
     many times simple searches used

3. in using advanced searches how often is each field used

4. number of times an image is requested

5. how often are images saved in notebook
