I'll leave the questions about delivery mechanisms to RLG staff to answer, but the last question, about whether you can mount the high resolution images on your campus has an AMICO license answer - YES. We feel that institutions will have many reasons to want to mount AMICO data locally, including high resolution data, but not limited to that. The license explicitly allows this. One of the things we hope to learn from the testbed year is under what circumstances universities found local mounting useful and why, and whether uses of such locally mounted material were different from or similar to those on RLG. Hopefully your experience will help us make good decisions about how to support this capability in the future.
