This document outlines the functional and information content limitations
that pertain to any offering of access to unlicensed users of The AMICO Library.
Such access may be provided by a distributor or licensee on a public web site
or through an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).
1. Purpose and Goals
AMICO is willing for the contents of The AMICO Library be made publicly known,
so long as the extent of publicly accessible information is limited and rights
of rights-holders are clearly identified and functionally enhanced. Distributors
of The AMICO Library, and licensing institutions, are permitted to make limited,
specified, content, together with specified functionality, freely available
on the Word Wide Web and in on-line public access catalogs, in order to increase
awareness of the availability of the content of The AMICO Library and rights
in the data.
2. Content of the Catalog
The AMICO public catalog must contain an entry for each work held locally
by the agency maintaining the public web site or OPAC. Distributors must provide
access to all works in The AMICO Library.
For each work in the Library, a publicly accessible catalog must include
a brief catalog record in structured text and a "thumbnail" image.
A. Brief Catalog Record
The 'brief catalog record' may not display more than the following limited
subset of the full textual data documenting a work in The AMICO Library.

times. Links must be provided from the catalog to the AMICO Web site at

of the withdrawal of work from The AMICO Library, remove all multimedia
