The National
Museum of American Art has a program called The Community
Discovered, which works with teachers in Nebraska to "develop constructivist
curriculum models of engaged student learning using technology and
the resources of the Internet".
Many Professors
who participated in the University Testbed project created interesting
Study Web Pages for their students. Pages like these allowed students
to interact with images outside of the classroom or a slide library.
Also, for those in Art History courses the pages enhanced and expanded
upon the artwork contained in their textbooks.
Please take a look
at these example from Boston College.
Review Other Educational
Uses from the University Testbed Project
Also, Colleen Skidmore and Sandra Dowie from the University of Alberta(another
Testbed site) have written a very interesting paper, "Camera
Lucida: AMICO in an Art History Classroom", that was presented
at the Museums and the Web 1999 Conference in New Orleans, March 11-14,
1999.
